This is shaping up to be a fun week at the middle school! Monday is Drop Everything And Read day (DEAR) and tomorrow we get to wear pajamas and watch a movie at lunch!
In the library this week we will continue reading aloud Eric Wilson's novels with Grade 6 & 7. Grade 8 classes are having another lesson on the Dewey Decimal System, where they have to use the books on the shelves as clues to figure out the numbers of the ten main Dewey categories. Hopefully this will help cement those 10 main categories in their minds.
I'm still looking for some volunteers to help with shelving and keeping the library tiday. This would be an after school activity, for about 10-15 minutes and on whatever day works for the student. Also if you'd like to be on the Crew and help with our Scholastic Book Fair (November 17-19) there are more spots available. Just come talk to me, Mrs. Torenvliet!
