Happy Spring!!

It has been so long since I posted a comment! I hope everyone had a relaxing spring break.

Congratulations to Abigal Vilio for winning the Library Word Search Contest! Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest - several people found most of the words!

There are LOTS of great new books that just came in. I put some of them on LibraryThing (left side of the screen) so you can see the New Stuff that will be coming soon! I will try to get them ready as quick as possible. Thanks to those who have used the Suggest a Book form on the blog. I have been able to purchase many of the books you have suggested.

The library has been very busy with extra classes coming to work on research papers. Remember to check out the Bibliography Help tab if you need help with your bibliography, or come see me and I will be happy to help you!

The half off fine day before spring break was a success. Over 50 students took advantage of this and only had to pay half their fines! Please remember to log in to your account and check for any overdue books to avoid more fines. If you have lost a book please come to the library and let me know so your fines don’t keep adding up!

What's Happening...

The bookmarks from the bookmark contest are now ready! I have printed and laminated copies of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Please take one when you sign out your books! See a picture of them below...

The Word Search contest will be ending on the Monday before Spring Break. I will announce the winner on Friday, March 18.

I have ordered several new magazines for the library! Keep an eye out for the new additions! I have also renewed some of the ones that were already here.

Just a reminder that you will be able to take out 10 books for Spring Break starting on Monday the 14th!

Please remember to return or renew your books!

New Contest!

Check out the Word Search bulletin board in the library. Pick up a copy of the word search and neatly circle the words you find AND write them on the back of the paper. Hint: you are trying to find library terms and book genres. Hand in your paper (with your name on it!)for a chance to win a prize! No… I will not tell you how many words there are!

Also... look at the "New Stuff" by LibraryThing to see some of the new books that have been added to the library!

Happy New Year!

Welcome back everyone!

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing break.

Winners of the bookmark contest are...

1^st place: Brenna Wiens, 2^nd place: Isabelle Friesen, 3^rd place tie between Marquella Uhrig and Upneet Bala and 1^st place for the digital category is Dylan Friesen. Thanks to everyone who participated, there were many amazing entries! Thanks to all the judges who picked the winners!

What's Happening...

Next week you will be able to take out 10 books!  All books will be due back on January 10. This will give you extra days to remember to bring your books back after the break and avoid collecting fines.

Also, the bookmark contest will end on Monday, December 13. I have received some amazing bookmarks, but would love to have more!

Check out the new books I have added to LibraryThing (left column). They will soon be ready for you to take out! I just got another shipment in today!!

Remember to check out the "Suggest a Book" page if you would like me to look into ordering a book that you would recommend for the library!
